5th Edition. Like the title says, thinking about multiclassing into circle of spores druid for the halo of spores and symbiotic entity. I was thinking of Barbarian Storm Herald (Sea) the with Lizardfolk as the race. That way I can dps/tank with temporary hit points from symbiotic entity and stacked damage from halo and storm aura.

The first druid subclass to feature a built-in pet, and rather than a Beast Master-style animal companion, the Druid gets spirit made of fire. Not what I was expecting, but it's pretty great. The Circle of Spores druid is designed as a melee-range class without needing to Wild Shape. In fact, instead of Wild Shaping, you get buffs to stay alive in melee easier and deal damage! While it's imperfect in its execution, you can deal more damage with weapons than cantrips with your Symbiotic Entity state.

Spores Druids have excellent HP, but do nothing for your Concentration saves. To get the most out of your bulk, Resilient Constitution and Warcaster are probably your best bets if you want to effectively hold concentration, while soaking up additional damage.
